About Us
At Vanya Labs we build tools for developers and teams working with healthcare data, with a focus on FHIR APIs and FHIR servers. FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is a data standard and API for sharing healthcare data. It’s in use all over the world and plays a major part in the healthcare systems of many countries.
Our first application — Vanya Client — is a FHIR data viewing app that helps developers see data inside FHIR servers. It connects to major managed FHIR server providers such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, and to FHIR servers provided by companies such as Firely, Smile Digital Health and Health Samurai.
Meet the Team
Darren DevittFounder & CEO
Darren is a recognized expert on FHIR who has worked as an advisor to medtech, healthcare and health insurance companies on FHIR strategy and implementation. He has a strong technical background in the healthcare space and has a long and successful history working with startups building new products. Darren launched an early version of Vanya Client in 2023 after experiencing first-hand the problems development teams had working with FHIR APIs.
Deirdre ClerkinAdvisor & CMO
Deirdre is a highly experienced sales and marketing professional with 25 years experience, mostly at C-suite and board level. She spent the last number of years working in VC with early stage technology companies. Deirdre began her career at JP Morgan in London followed by 14 years as a senior member of the sales and marketing team at Merrion Investment Managers, now Cantor Fitzgerald Asset Management.
