Vanya is a desktop application for Windows and Mac. You should download and install the version appropriate to your operating system. Two Mac versions exist — one for recent Macs using an Apple chip and one for earlier Macs running an Intel chip. The Windows version will run on all recent Windows operating systems. Download here.

Admin access or elevated privileges are not required to run the installation. Vanya’s working folder contains files that store details of your FHIR server configuration as well as details on any FHIR search queries you have saved. Working folders are:

- Windows: “\AppData\Roaming\Vanya Client”

- Mac: “/Library/Applications Support/Vanya Client”

Existing server and query files are maintained during version upgrades.
